Student Retention Rates
The retention rate for Yr 8 is always 100% for all years because it is the base year for retention. In some years the retention rate exceeds 100% because there was a net increase in the number of students for that year.
For all years, 2008 showed to have the highest retention rates than the previous five years, especially in Yr 12. The retention rates for Yr 9 in 2002 & 2006 and Yr 12 in 2008 show Port Hedland(T) enrolling new students not previously attending the previous year.

Overall the number of non-indigenous students gradually decreased between 1999 & 2005 before a small increase the following three years.
