This data relates to the number of staff days per month the total public sector dental health service practitioners operate. Public sector dental services fell marginally in Port Hedland(T) between 2002-03 and 2006-07. In 2007-08 Dental Officer days increased dramatically as Dental Therapist days almost halved.

Mental Health Practitioners

 

 

 

The number of mental health workers in Port Hedland(T) has gradually increased over time, markedly in 2000 and 2008 with the introduction of additional Indigenous mental health worker, youth worker, and child and adolescent mental health professionals.

 

 

 

The number of hospitalisations due to mental disorders increased steadily to a high point in 2001, before falling gradually over the next four years.  Hospital separations have remained at relatively stable levels between 2004 and 2006.
