Number of people that use the internet
While just over 24% of people were accessing the internet at home in 2001, over 64% of all private dwellings had an internet connection by 2006 in Port Hedland(T).
From a total of 3,088 households in Port Hedland(T), 1,990 (64.4%) had the internet connected. Of these 1,486, or 74.7% had a broadband connection. Port Hedland(T) had the largest proportion of households without internet connection across the region, marginally higher than the East Pilbara(S) proportion, but significantly higher than Ashburton(S) and Roebourne(S).
