The number of occupied private dwellings in 2006 remained relatively unchanged from levels seen 10 years earlier. Building approvals for over 130 new homes over the ten year period to 2006 translated into occupied dwellings, while large falls in the number of occupied semi-detached, row or terrace house accommodation reduced the total stock of houses.
