Reported offences by type of crime
The number of reported crimes against the person grew consistently over a seven year period to display a 44% rise from 2001/02 to 2007/08. The number of domestic aggravated and non-aggravated assaults increased markedly from 2004/05 to 2006/06, with increases in the number of reported offences for threatening behaviour also jumping up over the same time.
