Theft, burglary and property damage were the highest causes of property crimes between 2001-02 and 2007-08. The incidence of fraud grew dramatically from 2004-05 to 2005-06, specifically in Roebourne(S). Breach of restraint, as with assaults, increased dramatically in 2004-05, mostly occurring in the more populous local government areas of Port Hedland(T) and Roebourne(S).
