Population Composition by Age and Sex
Port Hedland(T), as with the Pilbara as a whole, has a proportion of males between the ages of 25 and 59 and females between the ages of 25 and 34 higher than the state proportion. However Port Hedland(T) exhibits this trend to a lesser extent than the other Pilbara LGAs.
The proportion of 10 to 19 year olds of both sexes is lower across the Pilbara than the rest of WA, but once again Port Hedland(T) shows a less extreme departure from the state average.
